The Outstanding Senior Female Athlete Award which presented annually to the senior female athlete who has demonstrated outstanding athletic ability over the course of her entire career. The award is based solely on athletic talent, ability, attitude, performance, and success. It is a token of hard work, good judgment, understanding, and determination. The recipient is nominated by a coach and selected by the Athletic Advisory Council.

The Wynne Jesser McGrew Scholar-Athlete Award which is given to the graduating female senior who, in the opinion of the Athletic Advisory Council, has made significant contributions to both the scholastic and varsity programs of the college.

The award for Outstanding Male Athlete of the Year is given to the student-athlete who has extraordinary athletic ability and has contributed the most to his team, the college and the world of sport. Presented at the annual Senior Award Banquet, the award recipient is determined by the Colby-Sawyer Athletic Advisory Council in recognition of his hard work, good judgment, understanding and determination.

The Scholar-Athlete Award is given to the graduating male senior who, in the opinion of the Athletic Advisory Council, has made significant contributions to both the scholastic and varsity programs of the college.

Environmental studies major Calum Dixon '18 was awarded the Nellie Johnson Baroody Award at the American Ornithological Society's annual meeting in Tucson.

Members of the college's Exercise and Sport Sciences Majors Club, including athletic training, sport management and exercise science students, volunteered at the Boston Marathon.

Colby-Sawyer College recognizes 255 students for outstanding academic achievement during the 2017 fall semester. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must achieve a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours in graded courses.
