BOLD Women's Leadership Network Scholar
The BOLD Women's Leadership Network is a highly selective national program of first-generation, female scholars from rural locations in northern New England who are in good standing at the college. The network supports colleges led by women presidents that have demonstrated a commitment to collaboration, innovation, diversity and inclusion.

SAGE Scholars National Scholarship Winner
Students from all over the country submitted essays on subjects such as how they overcame various academic challenges, prepared for the college process, and what they were planning to do after graduation. SAGE Scholars recently pledged $1 million in college scholarships over the next 5 years for students attending one of over 400 private colleges and universities in the network. These scholarships are named "gap scholarships" with the goal of helping families fill in the gap between what they have to pay for their children to go to college and what colleges and universities can offer in terms of financial aid.

Selected as a BOLD Women's Leadership Network Scholarship Recipient
Colby-Sawyer has been selected to join the BOLD Women's Leadership Network, a highly selective national program of female scholars, and was awarded a three-year, $1.1 million grant for scholarships and transformational campus projects. Colby-Sawyer's initial cohort of BOLD scholars are seven juniors who are female or identify as female, as stipulated by the program, and are first-generation students from rural locations in northern New England who are in good standing at the college.

This fall eight students have been selected to receive Colby-Sawyer College's Sawyer Fellowship. Each year, Colby-Sawyer College faculty and administrative staff nominate students for the honor based upon their excellence in the classroom, their leadership, and their involvement in the life of the college. These nominations are reviewed by a committee to determine the most deserving recipients.
