The Colby-Sawyer College chapter of the national honor society recognizes the academic achievement of juniors and seniors. To be eligible for membership a student must rank in the top ten percent of the junior or senior class and demonstrate the Alpha Chi values of truth and character.

2019 New Hampshire IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence NH-INBRE Annual Meeting
Colby-Sawyer College students and faculty presented research findings at the 2019 New Hampshire IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence (NH-INBRE) Annual Meeting at the Mount Washington Resort in Bretton Woods, N.H. Supported by an Institutional Development Award (IDeA) from the National Institutes of Health, the IDeA Network of Biomedical Research Excellence is a federal grant program that promotes the development, coordination and sharing of biomedical research resources within 24 states. NH-INBRE is a partnership among eight institutions, including Colby-Sawyer College, the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth and the University of New Hampshire. The annual meeting is its largest networking event, providing students the opportunity to connect and exchange ideas with representatives from other institutions as well as access to career resources.

Carnival of Courage
Colby-Sawyer students from across majors along with Social Sciences & Education faculty members participated in the Carnival of Courage: Under the Sea Edition at the Newport Recreation Center on Sunday, April 14. Organized by the Child Development Club, the service-learning program featured fun, developmentally appropriate activities focused on fine and gross motor skills, including arts and crafts, sensory bins, magnetic fishing and face painting.

Colby-Sawyer celebrated its 181st Commencement on Saturday, May 11, awarding approximately 185 undergraduate degrees and recognizing students and other individuals for academic excellence, outstanding contributions to society, and service to the college and community.
