Rebecca Hashem Named NAC Women's Field Athlete of the Week

Colby-Sawyer College student-athlete Rebecca Hashem of Webster, N.H., was named Women's Field Athlete of the Week on April 25 by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Hashem majors in Nursing and is a member of the class of 2016.

Hashem was named NAC Field Athlete of the Week after a pair of great results at Saturday's Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT. She placed fourth in the hammer to qualify for New England's with a distance of 41.75m. She also placed fourth in the discus at 35.57m.

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
