Rasheed Foster Has Been Named to the USTFCCCA All-Region Team

2016 Jun 6

Colby-Sawyer College student-athlete Rasheed Foster of Sandy Bay, Hanover, Jamaica, has been named to the United States Track and Field Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Region Team. To be named all-region, a student-athlete must either be ranked in the top five of an individual event in the region according to the final TFRRS data or be part of a top three relay team.

Foster garnered a pair of All-Region accolades for performances in the 100 and 200 meter dashes. Foster had one of the best seasons in program history, culminating with a trip to the NCAA Championships to compete in the 100 and 200. He owns records in both events, which he set at the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship earlier this year. His time of 10.65 seconds in the 100 and 21.47 in the 200 led him to be named the 2016 ECAC Men's Most Outstanding Performer of the Meet.

Foster majors in Exercise Science and is a member of the class of 2017.

The USTFCCCA is a non-profit professional organization representing cross country and track & field coaches of all levels. The organization represents over 9,000 coaching members encompassing 94 percent of all NCAA track & field programs (DI, DII, and DIII).
