Nicole Olivieri, Member of Colby-Sawyer's Women's Volleyball Championship Team

Nicole Olivieri of Salem, N.H., is a member of Colby-Sawyer's Women's Volleyball team that won their fifth consecutive North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship after defeating Maine Maritime 3-0 on Saturday, Nov. 7. Olivieri majors in Environmental Studies with Aquatic Science focus and is a member of the class of 2019.

The tournament's top seed, Colby-Sawyer (12-24) won by scores of 25-22, 25-22 and 25-9. The second seed Mariners drop to 18-13. The Chargers have won each of their five NAC titles over the Mariners and have won eight of their last 10 matches heading into the NCAA Tournament.

The Chargers will make a trip to the NCAA for the eighth time in the college's history.

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
