Nicholas Ciarlante and Teammates Receive the 2014 Business Capstone Award

Nicholas Ciarlante and four other executive team members of Stelaire, a fictitious airline, received the 2014 Business Capstone Award during the Scholars and Leaders Ceremony held at the Sawyer Fine Arts Center Theater on Friday, May 9.

The team began the semester strong, with appropriate and accurate business decisions based on thorough quantitative and qualitative analysis. The team focused on each area of business, including Financial, Management, Human Resources, Marketing, Operations, and Ethics. Additionally, each team member demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills during their final Annual Stockholders' Meeting at the 2014 Susan Colby Colgate Scholars' Symposium on Tuesday, April 22.

The Capstone experience differs from major to major, but its purpose is to ensure that all seniors demonstrate their accumulated knowledge through action and effectively communicate their knowledge and actions to others in an interdisciplinary setting.
