Nicholas Ciarlante Receives the Class of 2014 Commencement Speaker Medal

Nicholas Ciarlante of Stoneham received the Class of 2014 Commencement Speaker Medal at the Scholars and Leaders Awards Ceremony held at the Sawyer Fine Arts Center Theater on Friday, May 9.

The Class of 2014 Commencement Speaker Medal is presented to a student who represents the character of the graduating class and will give an inspirational and engaging speech that represents the college's values and learning outcomes.A Business Administration major, Ciarlante was decorated with the medal for his tireless devotion to the college and the pursuit of his goals.

He delivered his senior address titled "A New Beginning," where he encouraged each member of the graduating class to push themselves and inspire others while acknowledging their Colby-Sawyer experiences as an integral part of themselves. "While we prepare to leave campus today, remember that Colby-Sawyer will always be your home....be proud of the education that you received at Colby-Sawyer College," noted Ciarlante. "Congratulations to the Colby-Sawyer College Class of 2014!"
