Martha Aschale, Member of Colby-Sawyer's Cross Country Conference Championship Team

Martha Aschale of Cambridge, Mass., is a member of the Colby-Sawyer Women's Cross Country team that earned its second consecutive title after finishing first at the 2015 North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Championship Saturday, Oct. 31. Aschale majors in Biology and is a member of the class of 2019.

The Chargers earned first place after scoring 30 points with five runners in the top eleven. The 5k championship race included 106 total runners, representing 10 schools.

The women's runner-up was UMaine-Farmington, as the Beavers turned in a 59, while Castleton was third with a score of 90 followed by Maine Maritime (124), Husson (149), New England College (174), Lyndon (189), Green Mountain (197), Thomas (232) and Johnson State (244).

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
