2014 May 14

Jaclyn Goddette along with Interfaith Leadership Team members Sarah Fields, Najwan Ismail, Jaclyn Goddette and Mora Thornton, were recognized with the 2014 Gula Graves Plummer Award at the Scholars and Leaders Awards Ceremony on Friday, May 9. Goddette is a member of the class of 2016 and is majoring in English.

The award is granted to the student or students who have distinguished themselves through the exercise of spiritual and/or moral leadership in the college community, or through academic work informed by their religious commitments.

"Over the last academic year, the group worked long and hard to launched an Interfaith and Spiritual Life Group on campus," said Academic Dean Burton Kirkwood, as he presented the award to the recipients. "From planning programs to recruiting speakers, promoting events, giving their own presentations, and tirelessly bringing the benefits of interfaith understanding and cooperation to our campus, these student leaders have had a tremendous impact on campus life."
