Gustav Jigrup Named NAC Men's Tennis Player of the Week

Colby-Sawyer College student-athlete Gustav Jigrup of Gothenburg, Sweden, was named Men's Tennis Player of the Week on March 28 by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Jigrup majors in Business Administration and is a member of the class of 2018.

Jigrup continued his impressive play this season by winning both of his No. 1 singles matches and both of his doubles matches last week. He began the week with an impressive 6-3, 6-1 victory over the top player from Division II Bentley. He then collected the second of the Chargers' three points on the day with a win at No. 2 doubles with Andrew Peloquin. Jigrup and the Chargers ended the week with an 8-1 win at Thomas. He dropped just two games (6-1, 6-1) in a win at the top flight in singles and teamed with Peloquin to win 8-6 at No. 1 doubles.

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
