Emily Lopez Named NAC Women's Track Athlete of the Week

Colby-Sawyer College student-athlete Emily Lopez of Lincolnville, , was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week on April 19 by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Lopez majors in Environmental Science and is a member of the class of 2017.

Lopez, who was named NAC Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week for the second time this season, competed at the Silfen Invitational hosted by Connecticut College. The junior came away with a school record time of 2:22.76 in the 800m to place 17th overall (47th in NE).

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
