Emily Lopez Named NAC Track Athlete of the Week

Colby-Sawyer College student-athlete Emily Lopez of Lincolnville, Maine, was named Women's Track Athlete of the Week on April 5 by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Lopez majors in Environmental Science and is a member of the class of 2017.

Lopez won the 800 meter run at Saturday's Corsair Classic hosted by UMass Dartmouth. She crossed the finish with a first place time of 2:28.92 in a 25-competitor field. Her time ranks her 51st in New England.

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
