Dean Boodakian Earns NAC Weekly Award

Colby-Sawyer student-athlete Dean Boodakian '17 of Burlington has earned the North Atlantic Conference (NAC) Men's Tennis weekly award for his performance in the NAC Tournament.

Boodakian was named Player of the Week after being named NAC East Division Tournament MVP for his victories in all four of his matches in the semifinals and finals. In the Chargers' 9-0 win over Green Mountain in the semifinals, Boodakian won 6-4, 6-1 at No. 3 singles and teamed with Sergio Spassof at No. 2 doubles to win 8-0. The duo did not drop a game again in an 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles in Colby-Sawyer's 5-0 win over Thomas in the finals. Boodakian then gave the Chargers its fourth point of the match when he closed his No. 6 singles match 6-0, 6-0. The Chargers claimed their fourth-consecutive NAC East title.

Led by Head Coach Barry Schoonmaker and Assistant Coaches Ben Dabush and Ben Taylor, the Colby-Sawyer Men's Tennis team is comprised of 16 student-athletes, including four first-year students, eight sophomores, one junior, and three seniors.
