Burhaan Habib Participates in Speakers Bureau Event 'Dating, Marriage and Relationship Across Cultures'

Burhaan Habib participated in the event "Dating, Marriage and Relationship Across Cultures" led by the International Speakers Bureau on Friday, Feb. 14.

Aptly organized on Valentine's Day, the discussion engaged students, faculty, staff, and community members in a dialog encompassing such topics as dating, courtship, pre-marital sex, weddings, gender roles, sexual orientation and divorce.

The event was moderated by Assistant Professor of Humanities Margaret Wiley and organized by International Speakers Bureau Coordinator Sukriti Raut '15.

The International Speakers Bureau is a group of international students who facilitate an interchange of information, ideas and perspectives through presentations and discussions on campus and in the Kearsarge and Lake Sunapee regions. The bureau aims to bridge the gap between the immediate community and the students and celebrate diversity.
