Brandon Legendre Named NAC Track Athlete of the Week

Colby-Sawyer College student-athlete Brandon Legendre of Waterford, Vt., was named Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week on April 5 by the North Atlantic Conference (NAC). Legendre majors in Psychology and is a member of the class of 2017.

Legendre, who was named NAC Track Athlete of the Week, set a school record on Saturday at the Corsair Classic hosted by UMass Dartmouth. The junior won the 35-contestant 800 meter run in a school record time of 1:59.97 breaking the previous mark of 2:00.41 set on April 25, 2009. Legendre's time also ranks him 27th in New England.

The NAC is an athletic conference, affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
