Aislinn O'Connor, Member of Women's Tennis NAC/NEAC Crossover Championship Team

Aislinn O'Connor of New Fairfield, Conn., along with her teammates on the Colby-Sawyer College 2015-2016 Women's Tennis team, won the North Atlantic Conference (NAC)/North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) Crossover Championship on Sunday, May 8.

The Chargers improve to 18-5 and tie a program record for wins in a season with the 2012 team. Colby-Sawyer earns its fifth bid to the NCAA Tournament and fourth straight.

Colby-Sawyer will face UMass Dartmouth on Thursday, May 12, in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The winner of that match will proceed to a second round match against Tufts University.

O'Connor, a member of the Class of 2019, is majoring in Athletic Training.

The team was led by Head Coach Barry Schoonmaker and Assistant Coaches Jen (LaChance) Taylor '10 and Elizabeth Lincoln, and was comprised of 12 student-athletes.

Since 2010, NEAC has partnered with the NAC for men's and women's tennis. NAC is an athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA 's Division III, consisting primarily of small liberal arts colleges throughout New England, including: Castleton State College, Colby-Sawyer College, University of Maine at Farmington, Green Mountain College, Husson University, Johnson State College, Lyndon State College, Maine Maritime Academy, New England College, Thomas College.
